Christmas Holiday gift guide

Hello lovelies! "Tis a season to be jolly fa la la la la la la la La." One of my favorite holiday is Christmas. Its the time we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and this is a guide to the kinds of gift you can give to your loved ones and friends during the Christmas holiday. Its a season to give to friends and loved ones so i decided to make a video on the guide to giving. Ooooh how i love Christmas! The carols and food is all in head right now oh i can't wait.

  • All about the items!

My bh cosmetics products were all bought on cyber Monday so prices have changed that's why i didn't mention the prices. The open heavens daily devotional book is only $15 which can be purchased in any redeemed christian church of God parish and prices may vary depending on the country you're in. The bath and body works products were $15 per set. I forgot to mention a contour kit from ulta that i got as a gift. That's another one you can give to a makeup lover.

HOW I MAINTAIN MY NATURAL HAIR

Hello world!
I have been away for so long. I am so sorry about that. I really need to schedule my blogs. Maybe every tuesday, friday or saturday would work. I need to make a decision about this. Guys, help me choose one of these days. Thanks in advance.
I have been asked about how i maintain my natural hair, especially during harsh weathers like winter and even during summer. When i went to Nigeria last year, i went to a beauty shop to do my hair. The first thing the stylist said was "this hair no dey pain you when you dey comb am? Madam, you for retouch your hair o? lol. I had to tell her to touch my hair and she said, "ehn its soft o. Wetin you dey put for your hair?" Well, I don't have a special way i maintain my hair, but the method i use helps my hair to grow and to maintain moisture. I will list 5 ways i maintain my hair.

  • Co-wash with a good conditioner. Any type of conditioner you like is good. I sometimes use tresseme or V05 (to save money). Co-wash means using only conditioner to wash your hair. It helps soften your natural hair and makes it easy to comb. Co-washing can be once or twice a  month. I usually soak my hair in the conditioner for 1 to 2 hours with shower cap covering my head. You can also use any type of leave-in conditioner afterwards. It will further soften your hair.
  • Shampoo your hair with any shampoo that is sulfate-free. I prefer using the ones i can afford (also sulfate-free) and has some kind of natural product in it.
  • Oil your hair with oils like coconut oil, avocado oil, castor oil to help your hair grow and retains moisture in your hair. I mix these oil together and i apply it to my hair.
  • Moisturizer of any kind is great. I recommend cantu shea butter. I have been using it throughout my natural hair journey and it has been doing wonders.
  • Protective hairstyle is another way i grow my hair. Examples are, single braids or bob marley as my naija people would call it, senegalese twist (twisting) or kinky twist, ghana weave, corn rows (my naija peeps will call it weaving), faux locs, weaves or weave-on etc. Do not leave the braids in for too long otherwise it will result in a lot of shedding when you take the braids down.Your edges can suffer a great loss. 4 to 6 weeks is recommended.

These are pretty much what i do to maintain my natural hair. I make sure i use what i can afford. I try as much as possible to get products that has natural products in it, instead of the ones with chemicals in it. I hope i have provided enough information. Ask me any questions on the comment section below and i will try my best to answer them. Please, help me make a decision on when i should post my blogs and give me ideas on what i should post.
Thanks for reading. Have a beautiful day. God bless you.

How i make banana muffins.

Hello world! How is the week going for you? My week has been full of events. I am grateful to God. I have been asked by some friends how i make my banana muffin so i am gonna share my recipe with y'all. Banana muffin is so delicious. The fluffiness is just so nice. Hmm...yummy in my tummy. It is very easy to make. It's good for breakfast and for just snacking. I personally eat it with any kind of smoothie for breakfast. The kids will love it too. It is simply the best...heehee. Below are the step by step pictures of the banana muffin and the recipe will be added.

1. Dry mix: Add 2 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 cup of sugar( it depends on how sweet you want it to be), 1/2 teaspoon of salt (optional), add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional), and dice up a banana (you can add your favorite nuts to the mix). Mix it altogether.

2. Liquid mix: add 1 cup of your choice of milk (2% low fat milk for me), 1 egg, 1/2 cup of vegetable oil (i prefer canola oil), and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Wisp it altogether. While doing this, turn on the oven and set it to 375F.
3. Add the liquid mix to the dry mix and beat it for 1 minute or 2 minutes. Do not beat it too much because it might be too hard after it is baked. When your batter falls easily when scooped, then the fluid is enough, if not, add a little bit of water.
(Not too thick)

4. Scoop the batter into the muffin  paper cup if you do not want it directly into the muffin pan. If not, oil the muffin pan and scoop the batter directly into the pan. One scoop will do. Put them in the oven.

5. While in the oven, your muffin should look like this. It looks good, right? hmmm...
6. Your muffin should be golden brown like this. Use a toothpick to check if your muffin is done. Your tooth pick should come out dry.

This is how i make my banana muffin. I hope this is helpful. Try it and see. Send me a picture of your muffins. Enjoy your muffins...yummy.
Next on the blog will be how to take care of your natural hair during summer and in the Nigerian weather. Stay tuned.

Mother's day hang out came late

We look like twins, shey? heehee!
Hello Everyone! How was the weekend, and how is the week going? As for me, I've been chilling because it's summer break. My weekend was awesome! May 10th was mother's day, but i wasn't there to celebrate with my mom because i was in school preparing for final exams (*sad face*). I decided to do something different for my mom this time around back in Houston. I got to Houston on Friday night and i took my mom out the next day (*smiles*). I no waste time at all. We were supposed to go to Olive garden (her favorite),  but she changed the location to Golden Coral because she said she hasn't been there in a while. I wasn't really impressed with the food over there, but my mom liked some of them. I wanted her to be satisfied. I didn't care if i didn't like it. We talked about life in general and cracked some jokes. She was happy and i was happy. That was all that mattered.
I decided that we were going to wear the same pants and wear a white shirt to match (anco tins). I bought the pants for us. Houston being a very humid place, the loose pants was just right. People complimented us and we were grinning from ear to ear. We didn't plan to carry the same color of bag tho. Good combo, right? Nice one!
OOTD. I no know wetin i dey find for floor o. Somebody help me look for am. lol.

It was a great Saturday May 16, 2015. I was fulfilled because i put a smile on my mom's face. We decided to hang out again. It is still not late to say Happy mother's day to all the beautiful mothers out there.
What did you do for your mom on mother's day? Please comment below.
